Gary V to repeat staging of ‘Arise’ concert

MANILA – Following requests from fans, Gary Valenciano, will be staging a repeat of his successful ‘Arise’ concert.

“Gusto ko lang pasalamatan ang lahat ng nag-request, (I would like to thank everyone who made the request),” Valenciano told entertainment reporters recently.

“Arise” is Gary’s two-night concert at the Araneta Coliseum held last April. It also marks the perfomer’s 30 years in show business.

“Kasi sa lahat ng concerts na ginawa ko in the 30 years, ito talaga ang may pinakamaraming request na gumawa ng repeat,” he said.

(Because of all the concerts I’ve had in my 30 years in the show business, it (“Arise”) has the most number of requests for a repeat.)

Garry also gave a hint on the things they will be adding on the concert dubbed as “Arise Gary V 3.0 The Repeat.”

“Kung ano ang hindi namin nagawa sa first one ay gagawin namin dito sa second one. Pero ayaw naming palitan masyado kasi ayaw din naman naming makarinig ng comment ng mga nakapanood nung una na ‘bakit sa una walang ganoon?’ So we are trying to give the people the best of what we did the first time,” Valenciano explained.

(We will be doing the things we haven’t done in the first concert.

Though, we don’t want to make a lot of changes because we do not want those who have attended the first concert to be saying that they have not seen those changes in the first concert. So we are trying to give the people the best of what we did the first time)

Gary is also hopeful to invite a guest he did not name saying it will be the first in a long time.

“With regards to surprise guests, we are working on one na sana talaga ay matuloy kasi hindi pa nangyayari ito in a long time, (and we really hope it will push through because it will be the first in a long time),” he said, without divulging the identity.
