Sandiganbayan hears Jinggoy’s bail petition
MANILA — Facing a non-bailable offense of plunder, Senator Jinggoy Estrada and three of his co-accused in the plunder case are now hearing their petition to bail in the Sandiganbayan.
Though plunder is a non-bailable offense, Jinggoy’s team is contesting that they be allowed to bail saying that there is not enough and strong evidence against the senator.
Alleged pork barrel scam mastermind, Janet Lim Napoles with his driver John Raymund de Asis are also asking for a recall of their arrest warrants in a separate hearing.
Napoles’ party will be heard by the Fifth Division of the anti-graft court.
Their petitions to bail will also be heard in the same division.
Estrada and Napoles are now detained in separate camps for their alleged involvement in the pork barrel scam.
