Prince Edward Island police arrest men after explosives seized from home
CHARLOTTETOWN — Prince Edward Island police say two men have been arrested after explosive devices were found in a Charlottetown home.
Police say they received a tip earlier this week about someone with explosives in the Charlottetown area.
They say Island investigators and an explosive disposal unit from Halifax carried out a search warrant at a home and found two explosive devices and bomb making material.
Police say the devices were taken to Halifax for forensic analysis and disposal.
A 35-year-old man from Charlottetown was arrested and is facing charges for possessing explosive devices.
He’s expected to appear in court on June 30.
Police say a second man from Charlottetown was arrested and charges are pending.
