Pinoy producer Jhett Tolentino bags 2 Trophies at 2014 Tony Awards

NEW YORK – Filipino producer Jhett Tolentino, one half of Joanjhett Productions,  won in two major categories at the recently concluded 68thTony Awards held on June 8, 2014, at New’ York’s Radio City Music Hall.

Tolentino and co-producer Joan Raffe bagged this year’s “Best Musical” for the play A Gentleman’s Guide To Love & Murder and “Best Revival Of A Play” for A Raisin In The Sun.

This marks the pair’s third victory, after Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, another play they produced, won “Best Play” at last year’s Tony’s.

Tolentino originally hails from the Iloilo province in the Philippines.
