Tado’s wife shaves head as protest

The widow of comedian-activist Arvin “Tado” Jimenez, who died in a bus crash, shaved her head in protest in front of the Florida Bus Lines station in Sampaloc Manila on Wednesday morning.

Tado was among the people killed when a Florida bus fell off a ravine in Bontoc, Mountain Province last February 7.

Lei Jimenez claimed that Florida Transport did not sufficiently attend to the needs of the victims in the Bontoc Bus crash.

The widow also expressed indignation at the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) which has been allegedly negligent in ensuring that bus firms comply with safety regulations.

LTFRB has suspended the franchise of the bus company after the fatal accident.

The agency will conduct a hearing on the tragedy at 9:00 a.m.
