Enrile rushed to the hospital due to ocular blood clot
Former senate president Senator Juan Ponce Enrile was rushed to the hospital due to an ocular blood clot. His son, Cagayan Congressman Jack Enrile confirmed the news.
The younger Enrile said that they started to notice the blood clot in his father’s eye on Thursday and it caused the veteran senator to worry.
However, after a series of medical tests as prescribed by his doctors, Sen. Enrile appears to be fine.
“[My father] is fine,” Cong. Jack Enrile said to the media.
“He underwent MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) yesterday just to rule out any suspicion,” he continued.
Senator Enrile will be discharged today, Saturday, and yesterday (Friday), Juan Ponce Enrile celebrated his 90th birthday on the same day as Valentine’s.
Sen. Enrile was recently charged with plunder, together with Senators Ramon Revilla Jr. and Jinggoy Estrada, for his alleged involvement in the P10-billion pork barrel scam.
