The news about Filipino vlogger Lloyd Cafe Cadena’s passing just would not sink in to many, especially to the ones whom he has inspired.

Netizens continue to pay tribute on Twitter on Saturday, September 5, thanking Cadena for being their happy pill with his “LC Vlogs,”  “LC Learns” series where he showed his witty take on life situations that everyone can relate to, funny expressions, memes, and punchlines. Even by just hearing his contagious laugh was enough to make someone’s day brighter.

One of those who took to Twitter to mourn the loss of Cadena is global superstar Mariah Carey who offered her prayers to the vlogger’s family and friends.

“So sad. RIP Lloyd, you will be missed,” she wrote.

This was the singer’s reaction on a post that she quote retweeted from her Filipino fan group, Mariah Carey Philippines.

Sharing a photo of Cadena, the group said in a Tweet that he was one of their “best loved” members and Carey’s “biggest fans.” Carey’s photo can even be seen as Cadena’s current header on Twitter.

“He will be remembered as a generous, kind, loving & humble human being,” Mariah Carey Philippines said.

Cadena’s passing was confirmed in a post on his official Facebook account on Friday, September 4, a few weeks before his 27th birthday. No further details, including the cause of his death, have been released yet.

“My family and I ask for your prayers, respect, and privacy during this time,” the post read.
